Job Title : Accounting Technician - Construction (Commercial)

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team.

Position Overview :

As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of accounting activities related to our commercial construction projects.

This position will require you to work on-site five days per week, collaborating closely with project teams to manage financial aspects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for commercial construction projects.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cash flow, providing regular updates to project managers and senior management.
• Reconcile financial transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, to address accounting-related inquiries and issues.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles within the construction industry, preferably in commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
