The role will lead the team responsible for the disassembly and inspection processes, ensuring operational stability and adherence to production targets. To meet these objectives, this role is structured around three core areas: operational leadership and team management, management of the disassembly and inspection workflow, and a focus on continuous process improvement and EHS compliance.

This structure ensures the department meets its production, quality, and safety goals while effectively managing its personnel and resources. Given the focus on leading an experienced technical team, the ideal candidate will possess significant leadership experience within a manufacturing or MRO environment, preferably with complex rotating equipment. A strong background in production planning, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles is essential.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced disassembly and inspection professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold and enforce all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between the team, senior management, and adjacent departments like Planning, Engineering, and Assembly.
  • Oversee all A65 gas turbine disassembly and inspection activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
  • Manage the availability and maintenance of all necessary tooling, equipment, and resources required for the department's operations.
  • Champion and implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean and Kaizen methodologies, to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and lower costs.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing, repair, or overhaul (MRO) environment, ideally with rotating equipment, gas turbines, or in the aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including team building, influencing, budgeting, and accountability.
  • Ability to understand and manage internal & external customer expectations and generally operate in a Production & Service culture
  • Expertise in manufacturing and operations, including production planning, workflow management, Good Manufacturing Practices, tooling, and enterprise resource planning.
  • Expertise in quality and process improvement, quality control, lean manufacturing, and strong analytical skills.
