- 15+ years of overall experience.

- Strong knowledge of:
- DO-178B/C for airborne software certification
- DO-254 for airborne electronic hardware certification
- Experience with safety-critical systems engineering.
- Knowledge of FAA and EASA certification regulations.
- Experience with:
- Safety of flight assessments
- Risk analysis
- Technical documentation and compliance reporting
Embedded Software & Hardware Development
- Experience in aerospace embedded software development.
- Experience with FPGA / ASIC design and development.
- Ability to evaluate embedded software and electronic hardware designs, including:
- FPGA
- ASIC
- PLD
- Knowledge of real-time systems and embedded system architectures.
- Experience with hardware/software verification activities.
Requirements & Verification Engineering
- Experience using requirements management tools:

Design Reviews & Supplier Management
- Experience participating in:
- Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR)

- Experience conducting supplier assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Ability to evaluate supplier adherence to development processes and regulatory requirements.
Good to Have Skills
- Knowledge of:
- DO-330 Tool Qualification
- FAA Orders 8110.49A and 8110.105A
- EASA CM-SWCEH guidelines
- Exposure to:
- Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Model-Based Development (MBD)
- Advanced Python scripting and automation experience.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity in avionics systems.
- Experience with civil aircraft certification programs.
- Mentoring and technical leadership experience.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design Reviews & Certification Support
- Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) to ensure designs meet technical and certification requirements.
- Review and assess supplier certification plans for airborne software and electronic hardware in compliance with:
- DO-178C
- DO-254
- DO-330
Embedded Software & Hardware Assessment
- Evaluate embedded software and electronic hardware designs for:
- Correctness
- Robustness
- Traceability
- Review FPGA, ASIC, and PLD-based designs for compliance and certification readiness.
Verification, Validation & Compliance
- Analyze:
- V&V results
- Test reports
- Certification evidence
- Prepare and review design assurance documentation and compliance reports.
- Ensure alignment with:
- FAA regulations
- EASA regulations
- Airworthiness authority guidelines
Supplier Coordination & Technical Leadership
- Conduct technical and process audits at supplier facilities.
- Lead resolution of:
- Technical issues
- Safety issues
- Compliance issues
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Act as a key technical interface between engineering teams and suppliers.
Engineering Process Improvement
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and the Software & Electronics (SWEL) domain roadmap.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
