NATURE DU TRAVAIL

Dans le cadre de vos fonctions d’enseignant ou d’enseignante au département de Génie civil, vous évoluerez dans un département dont les membres sont dévoués à l’accomplissement d’une même mission : celle de permettre aux étudiants et aux étudiantes d’accéder à un enseignement supérieur de qualité et de faire rayonner la profession dans son milieu. En plus d’une charge d’enseignement, la personne retenue se verra confier diverses activités associées à la pédagogie telles que :

• Faire le suivi nécessaire à la mise en place des activités relatives au développement pédagogique des étudiants et des étudiantes;
• Élaborer des plans de cours;
• Être impliqué dans les opérations du département liées à la prestation des cours et aux modalités d’évaluation ainsi qu’aux besoins en locaux et en équipements (organisation matérielle), etc;
• Participer aux activités départementales;
• Agir à titre de personne ressource pour les étudiants et étudiantes.

SCOLARITÉ ET EXPÉRIENCE

• Détenir un diplôme universitaire en génie* de la construction avec un minimum de trois (3) années d’expérience de travail pertinente;

OU

• Détenir un diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en Technique de génie civil avec un minimum de dix (10) années d’expérience de travail pertinente;

*Les équivalences de diplômes pour les études hors Québec reconnues par les instances compétentes sont admissibles.

• Avoir de l’expérience en enseignement collégial, un atout.

Nota Bene : L’expérience pertinente est définie comme une expérience acquise dans plus d’un domaine du génie civil, soit : travaux publics, structure, matériaux, arpentage ou dessin technique, en plus de tenir compte des normes et des pratiques en vigueur au Québec.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

• Titulaire d'un diplôme d’études collégiales en technologie minérale ou en technologie du génie civil combiné à une expérience pertinente de huit (8) années.
• Expérience reconnue en gestion d’inventaire de minerai, d’agrégats, en traitement des eaux, en projets de construction civile ou routier.
• Savoir planifier et organiser le travail en plus d’avoir de fortes des aptitudes en communication et être autonome.
• Détenir un permis de conduire valide en plus d’un permis général d’explosifs

HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD

Reporting to the General Foreman – surface services, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating medium- and long-term work and ensuring that this work related to surface mining operations runs smoothly. Your main duties will be:

PROFILE REQUIRED

• College diploma in mineral technology or civil engineering technology combined with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in inventory management for minerals and aggregates, water treatment, and civil engineering or road construction projects.
• Ability to plan and organize work, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently
• Valid driver's license and permit.
• A working knowledge of English is an asset.

• Participer aux travaux de terrain, principalement les travaux nécessitant la réalisation de forages et tranchée d’exploration, incluant la mise en place de piézomètres et puits d’observation selon les besoins du projet;
  
• Procéder à la description et à l’échantillonnage géotechnique et environnemental des sols et du roc selon les procédures et normes en vigueur;
  
• Réaliser divers essais in situ en géotechnique (pressiomètre, dilatomètre, essai au Packer, scissomètre, etc.)
• Réaliser des développements de puits, des relevés de niveaux d’eau souterraine et de l’échantillonnage environnementale de l’eau souterraine avec la technique faible débit/faible rabattement;
• Réaliser des échantillonnages de sols en piles incluant les rapports techniques;
• Réaliser des relevés d’arpentage au GPS de précision;
• Rédiger des rapports techniques de sondages, des rapports journaliers et des croquis;
• Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.

• Détenir un DEC ou tout autre formation équivalente;
• Détenir une formation en géologie (un atout);
• Détenir minimalement trois (3) années d’expérience pertinente en géotechnique ou en environnement;

Principales responsabilités :

• Evaluate AI-generated construction engineering content for technical accuracy, practicality, completeness, and alignment with real-world field conditions.
• Challenge advanced language models with job-specific construction engineering scenarios involving constructability, sequencing, cost, schedule, safety, quality, and documentation.
• Review and refine AI-generated prompts, answers, explanations, calculations, and technical recommendations related to construction engineering workflows.
• Identify errors, omissions, unsafe assumptions, unclear reasoning, or unrealistic recommendations in AI model responses.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps improve how AI systems reason through construction problems.
• Shape AI communication standards so model outputs are clear, practical, technically grounded, and appropriate for construction professionals.
• Support evaluation efforts by comparing model responses against expected expert reasoning, accepted construction practices, and applicable codes or standards.

Votre profil :

• 3+ years of professional experience in construction engineering, field engineering, project engineering, construction management, or a closely related role.
• Significant hands-on experience with construction project execution, field coordination, RFIs, submittals, change orders, site documentation, estimates, schedules, and constructability reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent senior-level professional experience may also be considered.
• Professional certifications such as PE, CCM, PMP, LEED AP, OSHA 30, or related construction credentials are welcome but not required.
• Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus.
