What you will do :
- Source potential projects on the SEAO platform
- Review RFPs, annexes and all other contractual documents
- Prepare and participate in meetings with clients, joint venture partners and consultants
- Develop work breakdown structures
- Identify local subcontractors and suppliers, solicit estimates and prepare comparison sheets
- Participate in and lead preliminary and final cost estimates
- Analyze, identify and evaluate project opportunities, risks and mitigation strategies
- Execute all stages of the estimating process, including organizing, launching, pricing, reviewing and closing the bid
- Various related tasks
Requirements for the position :
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field 5 to 10 years of experience in building, civil engineering, concreting and excavation Previous experience working for a contractor on major infrastructure projects Good knowledge of contracts, codes, industry practices and major specialty contractors Ability to work to deadlines in a team environment Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, distributors, subcontractors, architects, designers, site superintendents and staff Good knowledge of local trades and subcontractors Proficiency in Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) Proficiency in French Have good attention to detail and a good sense of initiative Additional assets :
