About the Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering municipal and public works projects (valued between $2–3 million), including exterior renovations, parks, hospitals, transit infrastructure, metal staircases, cement slabs, and structural elements. Many clients include municipal entities such as the STM, RTL, and other public-sector organizations.

Projects typically last from a few weeks to several months. The Project Manager may also handle smaller responsibilities within larger projects. This role requires a field-focused, technically skilled, and versatile manager with strong experience in construction and infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze scope of work from RFPs, plans, and bills of quantities
  • Attend site openings and construction meetings
  • Support field teams, supervisors, and foremen
  • Act as a key resource for the operations team during project execution
  • Prepare accurate material estimates based on technical drawings
  • Evaluate project costs, both direct and indirect
  • Oversee procurement and purchasing of materials
  • Recommend and manage plan and schedule adjustments as needed
  • Draft and submit bids and proposals
  • Develop detailed project timelines and monitor milestones
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Produce regular project follow-up and progress reports
  • Perform other project-related tasks as requested by leadership

Candidate Profile

  • Solid background in renovations and infrastructure, especially in municipal or institutional settings
  • Strong technical knowledge of structures, formwork, cement, and metalworks
  • Experience managing construction projects from planning to completion
  • Field-oriented with operational and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability within a senior, experienced team
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines, budgets, and site logistics simultaneously
