Job Description

CIMA+’s Project Management team is at the forefront of delivering construction projects across a wide range of industries, including institutional and heritage buildings, healthcare, public transportation, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Bring our projects to life and contribute to our success in developing our expertise as a construction project planner. You will act as a consultant to our multidisciplinary project team and our various clients.

We offer a flexible hybrid work model that allows you to work from home and from one of our offices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design master and detailed schedules, including resources, and establish baseline planning
  • Evaluate project progress, taking into account its size and complexity, and update detailed and master schedules, integrate changes, analyze impacts, and ensure communication with managers
  • Determine and analyze the critical path and propose solutions to the client to optimize schedules
  • Prepare earned value analyses and presentations including the status of key indicators (IPD and CPI) and communicate to clients and the project team the risks and measures to be taken related to project progress
  • Participate in the review of contractors' schedules and validate key milestones based on contractual requirements and project objectives
  • Actively collaborate with contractors and internal project teams to ensure smooth execution and proactive risk management

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, construction, business administration, or any other relevant field
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) or training in planning, management, or finance
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in planning large-scale projects in the construction industry
  • Excellent command of planning software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Availability to work at the client's project office
