Job Description

We are seeking a technicien(ne) comptable for a wholesale fruit and vegetable company in Montreal.

About the Company

Since 1983, we have been a major wholesale importer and exporter of fruits and vegetables based in Montreal. We work with local and international partners, including in the United States and Ontario, to offer high-quality products on a large scale.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit the daily bank report to shareholders and the AR team.
• Ensure the USD account is replenished and track import fees (payment and accounting).
• Authorize and supervise payments made by the AP team (EFT, wire transfers, ACH, checks).
• Process supplier invoices (services) and make payments.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Produce and submit government remittances (TPS / TVQ).
• Prepare monthly schedules (FPA, CAPEX, provisions, currencies) and post month-end entries.
• Prepare and analyze the draft monthly financial statements.
• Manage intercompany billing and track outstanding checks.
• Support the AP and AR teams as needed.
• Respond to Statistics Canada inquiries.
• Collaborate on external and internal audits.
• Participate in various special projects.
• Communicate with banks in case of deposit issues.

Profile Sought

• Bilingual French-English (written and spoken) - essential
• Experience in accounting and administration
• Knowledge of Sage 300 (important asset, but not essential)
• Excellent organization, rigor, and attention to detail
• Sociable but professional personality - absolute discretion required
• Reside near Montreal (100% in-person position)
