Job Description

  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance productivity while reducing costs.
  • Foster effective collaboration among internal teams through strategic communication.
  • Lead efforts to cultivate a customer-centric mindset within the organization.
  • Define the tools required for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing.
  • Participate in investigating and identifying risks related to pre-FAL.
  • Oversee the implementation of ePPS to enhance problem-solving capabilities across the organization.
  • Be responsible for synthesizing simple to complex situations and presenting them to different levels of assembly management or manufacturing routines for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components.
  • Interpret, verify and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering or assembly strategy changes, working closely with engineering, materials logistics, quality and production departments, and other organizational methods functions.
  • Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and take part in research and development projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a DEC in engineering or aeronautics.
  • More than 4 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and aeronautical standards (including Canadian and US standards).
  • Proficiency in French and English.
  • You have solid experience in continuous improvement and organizational skills.
  • You can play a key role in problem-solving methodology.
  • You have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of IT tools (ERP, GPAO Catia, AutoCad, Enovia).
