Position Description : Our Field Service Engineers have a unique opportunity to apply their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will lead a team installing, updating, performing preventive maintenance and other services for medical devices, including infusion pumps and batteries, in hospitals in the United States, while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a great opportunity to advance your technical skills in the medical device industry.

Travel : This is a 100% travel position. Local, regional and national travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
  • Organize, test and update medical devices; install and configure hardware, software and network products.
  • Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
  • Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support documentation.
  • Full-time commitment requiring local, regional and national travel.
  • Assignment-based schedule with a 40-hour workweek and overtime as needed.
  • Complete other duties at management’s discretion.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree, or equivalent military training programs, or equivalent biomedical or technical field service experience (1+ years).
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot project setup, technical issues and remote closes across multiple software programs.
  • Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a personal vehicle for local work assignments.
  • Ability to sit / stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements and provide proof of vaccination status as required.
  • Must reside within 45 minutes to 1 hour of an international or major airport; candidates within 30 miles of a major airport preferred. Weekly travel required.
  • Beneficial Qualifications

  • Experience in biomedical, networking, military, or field technician roles.
  • Experience in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort troubleshooting with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, etc.).
